WORDS: 256 | TAG: no one | NOTES: Open...anyone can join The life of an intern was not an easy one. Lawson sometimes contemplated on why he decided this career path was best for him. Although it doesn't take much to remind himself on why he choose sleepless nights/days and a workload of worried, impatient people. The many days he personally spent in the hospital wing at Hogwarts supplied him with plenty of time to be sure of his decision.
A coffee in hand, Lawson decided to check with the front desk on his floor to see if there had been any updates on incoming patients. ”Miss, I just wanted to check if there was any patients that need to be seen.” He stated to the woman up front who then informed him that there was no one who needed help at this moment. Releasing a sigh, Lawson was rather disappointed in that news. It had been a slow night and morning and it seemed to be dragging on. The coffee seemed to be doing nothing for him at the moment for a yawn followed the sigh. After rubbing his eyes for a second he tried focusing them on the clock. Even through his blurry vision he could tell hours had passed since he last glanced at the clock. ”4:30 already?” He questioned in disbelief. As morbid as the thought might have been Lawson sort of hoped someone would get injured so at least he would have something to focus on instead of his exhaustion. Plus, every incident that came through was a learning experience for him.

let's see where this road takes us 331 WORDS | @lawson | bloody | let's see how this goes! |
Victoria gasped when she awoke. Everything seemed blurry, all of the sounds around her were muffled. She could feel the blood in her veins begin to thicken. A tear ran down her cheek. For a 500 year old vampire, she could not believe that she could have been so careless. She had been around the block a time or two with werewolves, but never a fledgling. They were always mature wolves, those who knew their strength, those who knew not to mess with a vampire. But, in the same breath, the vampires knew better than to pick a battle with a werewolf. Vic gasped again. She raised herself from the ground, woozy from the bite she had taken. She looked at her leg, the place where the creature had so viciously bitten her. Disgust rose in her throat. She needed medical attention before the poisonous bite ran through her system entirely.
When Vic looked upon her surroundings, she noticed that she had awoken in a park across the street from St. Mungo's Hospital. Thank God, she thought to herself. The pain in her leg was excruciating, sending sharp pains throughout her body. It felt as though she had been electrocuted a thousand times. Victoria stumbled as she tried to limp her way to the doors.
She was greeted by a receptionist who looked at her frightfully. "C'mon lady. I'm not going to bite you. I'VE been bitten. I need to see someone." She stated, giving the woman a piercing gaze. One that read pain and helplessness. The nurse just stood there. "I don't have all day woman!" She screeched, now placing a hand over the oozing wound. The nurse finally snapped out of it and placed Victoria in a wheelchair. She ordered two of the lower level interns to bring Victoria up to the first floor to see someone in the creature -induced injuries unit. Victoria screamed in agony as she was wheeled up to the first floor.

WORDS: 246 | TAG: @victoria | NOTES: Crappy post, sorry. The second year intern was hoping for some excitement. He was close to finishing his 24 hour shift, the only shift the interns ever seemed to get, and Lawson needed something to happen in order to keep him awake. Coffee seemed to have no effect on his body anymore, he would have to look into a replacement to let his tolerance die down for the caffeinated beverage. Just as Lawson decided to head back to the intern lounge to relax for a little bit, the overly quiet floor was suddenly pierced with an agonizing scream. The hair on his arms stood up when the sound hit his ears.
Lawson looked around for the source and found a woman being rolled in a wheelchair by two interns. He rushed over. "I got this, thank you." He said, as he jogged over and began to push the wheel chair. "Hello miss, I'm Lawson. I see you are suffering from some pain. Can you tell me what happened?" He asked very sincere. He cared about people, even strangers, and wanted to help when he could. Sometimes he hated having to ask these questions because they were usually annoying to the patients however, they were necessary for Lawson to do his job. With the amount of pain this woman was he Lawson immediately felt guilty for his wish earlier because someone is having to suffer in order for his work day to go faster. Somehow that just didn’t seem fair.
And if you're still breathing you're the lucky ones. cause most of us are heaving through corrupted lungs.

let's see where this road takes us 333 WORDS | @lawson | bloody | wasn't crappy! |
As the two interns tried to rapidly take Victoria up to the first floor, the pain engulfed Victoria's senses, turning her into a volatile gremlin of sorts. Her tongue seemed to have stopped working at that point, for the best, she was sure. She didn't want to torment the poor interns to death, nor did she want to lash out so harshly that they became her next meal. The pain, oh how the pain clouded every fiber of her being. Victoria's golden eyes darted around the room until they sat upon a devilishly handsome looking man. He seemed to be a little nervous in her eyes, the same look the two interns gave her upon her arrival. The sack of flesh said a few words to her, to sooth no less. It didn't help the matter at hand much. Victoria's fangs protruded from her gums unwillingly. There was something wrong, horribly, horribly wrong.
Victoria gasped to try and catch her breath to speak without delay. What had happened? She wasn't even sure herself. She knew that the bite marks on her legs and arms told her that she had been bitten by something fierce, something that did not like vampires. She was bitten by something or someone who wanted her or her kind dead. Victoria could only think of one creature who would want such of thing of her kind.
"Werewolf... bite... atta-" she paused to release a blood curdling scream. The pain coursed through her body, making her extremities feel like stone. She didn't want to die. She was only five hundred years old. She wanted to live for at least another 500 more. No, she was determined. This was not how she was going to die.
"Help... Help me... Please," she pleaded, her fangs showing. She wanted him to know what she was. Not to strike fear in the poor fellow, no. She wanted him to know what she was so he knew what course of action to take.

WORDS: 305 | TAG: @victoria | NOTES: The sight in front of Lawson was a gruesome and stomach turning one. Not really due to blood from extreme injuries but from the gut wrenching screams coming from the woman's mouth. The pain seemed to be so severe that it took a while for her to answer his questions. Without any information Lawson wouldn't know exactly what to do. He really wasn't capable of handling such a distressing situation, however, Lawson realized there wasn't a choice in the matter. As Lawson steered them in the direction of one of the open rooms the woman's teeth fangs had protruded from her mouth. It wasn't uncommon for Lawson to treat wounds created from vampires, but to treat an actual vampire was something different.
Pushing the lady vampire into the room he was informed from a few grunted words that she was suffering from werewolf bites. Walking in front of her he was now able to see the multiple bite marks that decorated her arms and legs. "Oh man." He said, shocked. His experiences hadn't prepared him for such a case. She pleaded for her life to be saved and in that moment he knew he was going to have to try. Lawson was going to have to search his mind for a solution. He knelt down in front of the vampire and looked her in her eyes. "I will try my best." He said with every ounce of sincerity that he had.
What was it that helped seal werewolf bites?” Lawson thought as he stood back up. He paced back and forth hoping the answer would pop in his head. There really wasn’t much time. He looked down at the silver watch on his wrist and instantly hit him. ”I’ll be right back, I promise.” He said rushing out the door to get what he needed.
And if you're still breathing you're the lucky ones. cause most of us are heaving through corrupted lungs.
