i wake at the first cringe of morning
and my heart's already sinned
”This place could honestly not get any worse.” The hateful feeling was growing even stronger as she approached her graduation date. What exactly was the point in this stupid murder mystery party? Wasn’t it enough that they all had plenty of homework, sports, and finding time to socialize to deal with? Zoey guessed this must be their way to help the student body become more integrated with the other houses. She sort of snickered at the idea because all these mysterious partners were not going to create house unity in Hogwarts. It was an abstract idea that would never come to fruition. There were people in the same house that couldn’t stand each other. It had nothing to do with the division of the houses, rather than the various personalities that appeared in the school.
With a sigh Zoey placed her mask on her face. It was rather amusing to her that she received a fox as her animal and according to the letter she received her partner was a wolf. She couldn’t even get lucky to have her semi-spirit animal. However, a fox could also represent her. Zoey was clever, sometimes smart enough to have been in Ravenclaw, she enjoyed being tricky, and to her, a fox was a feminine creature. With a final glance in the mirror she left the Slytherin common room making sure to grab the first clue and take it with her.
Upon reaching the Great Hall she waited for her partner so the two could get started with this silly task. If she was lucky maybe her partner would care even less than her and they could find something else to occupy their time with.
