Dusk was Chelsea's favorite time of the day. Right after dinner, before most of the school made their way to a common room, the library, or, for some, an empty broom cupboard for a little secret make out session, she would always find herself right here, sitting under her favorite tree next to the lake. It gave her time to get away from the crowds of the school to just sit and think. Think about her life, her studies, whatever came to mind.
Right now, the only thing she could think of was herself. and if that made her a bit selfish, then so the heck what, she was entitled to her feelings. This defiant attitude was also pretty new to her. Up until recently, she had just accepted what others told her and went with the flow, which was something that she had been taught a very early age,and more often than not, re enforced with a beating or three. No, she just wanted some peace, or did she? There was still that little, nagging voice inside her head that desperately cried out for some companionship, any kind, she was not really picky she thought, but still, she had to keep that guard up at all times, so making a new friend, if it ever did happen, would take some time.
Looking around to see if she was alone, she slowly brought out a half empty pack of contraband cigarettes from her school bag, took one out, and lit up. The act was a small bit of defiance. She had to exert some control whenever she could and take the risk of being caught by someone at the school, or even worse, her father. Though it was a risk she was happy to take. While it would not look good for a sixth year chaser on the school quiddich team to be caught smoking, she thought the risk was well worth it. Still, she desperately hoped no one else walked up on her now.

@chelsea Evelyn needed an escape. The whispers around the school about her previous year was strongly getting to her this time around. She hadn't had heartbreak this strong since her third year, but decided that she needed to get passed it. The only place that she could run to, other than her grandmother's house was the lake. There was just something so soothing, so peaceful about the lake that calmed every fiber of her being. Although the lake was an escape to many students at Hogwarts, there was a certain spot that Evelyn loved to go.
As the young woman began making her way across the laws, cat calls and howls followed her. She simply rolled her eyes and flipped her hair, continuing on her way to her spot. Her robes flapped in the wind as she traveled the terrain. Evelyn was on a mission, and as her hard steps became even more rough,one of her heels got caught in the dirt beneath her feet.
"Crap!" She yelled as she tried to free her foot from the ground. Evelyn wrapped her hands around her leg and pulled hard until her heel became free. She grunted and shook it off before walking again with purpose. After a few moments, the young girl turned a corner through the thick brush and came to her spot. But she was not alone there. There sat a very pretty young girl, whom Evelyn didn't recognize, smoking in her spot.
"Uh, hi? You're kind of in my spot," she said, placing her hands on her curvy hips.

@evelyn Chelsea's peace was interrupted suddenly by a voice she did not recognize.
"Uh, hi? You're kind of in my spot,"
Looking up, she decided on the spot to not to try and even hide the fact that she was smoking. It was plain to see...and smell what she was doing, so why bother? Plus, it wasn't like a teacher had caught her. This was just another student like her, and from the looks of her, not a very intimidating one either. Relaxing, she took another puff on her cigarette and leaned back further against the tree.
"Relax honey. I didn't see a sign with your name on claiming this particular spot, and even if I did, I would have just ignored it."
She was speaking a bit bolder than she actually felt, but what the hell, what was the worse that could happen. She had had put up with enough crap recently, and this chick had just interrupted the only peace she had had for some time, and she was doing it with an obvious attitude.
"I'm willing to share, but if you stay, don't expect me to put up with that crap attitude of yours. I have enough problems."
With that, Chelsea turned her attention back to the lack, continuing to smoke and not give this girl another second of her attention unless she wanted to. It was up to her now, Chelsea was done being someone's bitch.

@chelsea Evelyn scoffed at the girl who was sitting against the tree. This girl had the nerve to talk that way to Evelyn, but Eve didn't have the energy to fight with a pesky Gryffindor. There were much more important things on her mind lately, like how she was going to convince all of Hufflepuff house that dating a girl wasn't the worst thing to happen to the house. What about Cedric Diggory dying? That was a rough one for Hufflepuff, apparently. Evelyn laughed when the girl spoke of problems.
"Hunny, we all have problems. Now move down and let me have a drag of that, will you?" She asked, moving her way to sit next to the girl. Evelyn thought that there was no use fighting with someone, since everyone had problems and perhaps this girl could help her with something that had been on her mind. Evelyn sat down and wiggled her bum to set in next to the girl. She put out her index and middle finger to receive the cigarette the girl had yet to offer Evelyn.
"Question for you. Do you think same sex dating is wrong? I mean, you've probably heard the rumors about me already, so I wanted your opinion on it."

@evelyn
She was fighting hard to be impressed with this girl's response, but knew she was fighting a losing battle. However, she had a feeling that it was one that she would not mind losing. She was impressed, and if she was honest with herself, a bit intimidated as well, but in a good way. She moved over and let her sit down next to her, also something she found herself not minding at all. The fact that she wiggled her bum while she did it was something that she found very...sexy. Sexy? Where did that come from? those feelings were starting to arise again. When she requested a cigarette, Chelsea was happy to hand her barely smoked one over and quickly lighting up a fresh one for herself.
"Keep it. I have plenty."
The two girls smoked in silence for what seemed like an eternity, but in reality was only a few seconds. Chelsea was about to ask her name, when she asked her thoughts on same sex dating.
It was a question that caught her a bit by surprise, and given the recent rise of those certain feelings inside of her, it was also very timely. She took a moment to gather her thoughts before responding.
"I really don't see any problem with it at all. I believe that if two people like, even care for each other, their sex shouldn't stand in the way. As far as for what other people think, screw them. It's your life, no one should be telling you how to live it. In fact, lately, I have been thinking about doing a little same sex dating myself."
She had no idea why she had said that last part. It had just come out, but now that it was, she did not regret it. She had taken a huge risk, all that was left now was to hope for the best.
"What is your name anyway?" She had seen her around the school, and had some classes with her, but her name escaped her at the moment.

@chelsea Evelyn grinned as the girl offered her the cigarette and told her to keep it. Evelyn gladly took the cancer stick and placed it between her plump lips and inhaled. She let the smoke linger in her lungs for a few moments before exhaling the toxins into the air. She let a sigh escape her, in relief. Evelyn's brown eyes turned toward their blank, blonde canvas and studied her as she spoke, answering Evelyn's question. It was nice to hear another girl's perspective on this situation, as most of them found it disgusting or only wanted to use Evelyn as an experiment. Evelyn puffed on the cigarette again and nodded at the points her companion was making.
"Thanks. I feel better now," she said, taking yet another hit of her dart. As she did so, Evelyn caught herself looking upon the girl's porcelain skin, analyzing all of the imperfections, all of the perfections. A smile tugged at her lips when Evelyn was suddenly snapped out of her trance by some sort of angelic noise. Angelic? Hardly... There was something about this girl that intrigued Evelyn. Perhaps it was the way that she was trying so hard to be bad. Maybe this girl just needed someone to pull her in the right direction... Or the wrong one, and Evelyn was ready to take that challenge.
"The name's Evelyn, sweet cheeks. Call me Evie if you want," she stated, throwing her hand out in a greeting manner. She took her last drag and put the cigarette butt into the dirt next to her.
"And yours?"

@evelyn
This conversation was quickly going into a very interesting direction, and Chelsea was very, very intrigued and couldn't wait to see where it was going. Her new friend seemed to be a bit relieved at her answer to her question, and Chelsea was glad she could be of some small comfort to someone, and hell, she was kinda hoping that she could provide more comfort to this particular person.
Where did THAT come from?
All of a sudden, all of her doubts and feelings about how she felt about her own sexuality seemed to evaporate. Maybe not completely, but there was definite progress there. This girl seemed...carefree, full of life and if she was honest with herself, she was cute as hell. The way she carried herself, smoking as though she had done it millions of times before...Chelsea herself had just recently picked up the habit...interested her. She needed something like that in her life.
She was pulled out of her stupor by the girl giving her name...Evie, she liked that. A LOT. She took the offered hand and shook it.
"I'm Chelsea, but if we are going to be friends, you can call me Chels if you want. A lot less formal don't you think?"
She let go of Evie's hand and, with shaking hands, fumbled with her cigarette pack, took out another and lit up. If there was ever a time she needed to calm herself down, this was it. Sure, she had gone through many, MANY other times where she was nervous, but this situation was right up there.
If she was honest with herself, she liked where this was going, but she was also scared to death that if she got too close to Evie, she would find out her secret and go running for the hills. Still, this was a risk she thought she was willing to take.
