[attr="class","bhstext"]The words blurred in front of his eyes. Cameron squinted at them, trying to persuade them mentally to make sense to his exhausted mind. A migraine pounded at the back of his head and Cameron gave up for the moment. There was no idea he would be able to concentrate like this. He knew he shouldn't have listened to Patrick.

But no, stupid him had never been able to deny his best friend much of anything, even when they were young kids in Hogwarts. Once the teachers had realized how well the two worked together for a Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, they'd been paired for every class the two of them shared throughout the years and their friendship had solidified into a lifelong brotherhood. As such, whenever Patrick used The Eyes and whined, "Caaaaaam!", Cameron had no choice in whatever it was the younger male wanted.

Even if what the idiot wanted was to spend a Wednesday night drinking themselves into oblivion when he knew full well Cameron was working in the morning and would be suffering a hang over. Ugh, why was he even friends with the moron again? Without realizing it, his eyes had closed and his face buried in his folded arms. A small nap wouldn't hurt.

Of course, at that moment, somebody decided to slam open his door quite abruptly. Cameron flew up and pushed his chair over with a yelp and a squawk. Without even looking at who it was, his immediate reaction was denial. "I wasn't sleeping, promise!"
