CHELSEA DAWN RASMANN
SIXTEEN | SIXTH | GRYFFINDOR | STRAIGHT | KALEY CUOCO
HISTORY
Chelsea is the oldest child of Dexter and Melissa Hicks. Dexter was a successful farmer for the first part of Chelsea's life, but a string of bad weather years, caused him to loose everything and forced him to move his family to the city to take a job with the Ministry. It was about then, that the drinking started, due to the stress of providing for his growing family. Chelsea was eight years old when her father first hit her in a drunken rage. He had been beating on her mother for about a year, but this was the first time for her.
The abuse continued for years, even when she was home from Hogwarts. She did her best to hide the bruises and the scars, and she was mostly successful, but she knew that people talked, She accepted her role as the outcast, though longing for at least one friend who would accept her. Making the Gryffindor quiddich team did help, but deep down, she knew she would have to live with this secret for the rest of her life.
Chelsea, in summary, loves the outdoors. She cannot stay inside anywhere for long, and it takes a lot of effort to get through the school year. As such, she can often be found near the lake or greenhouses. There have also been more than one occasion where she has sneaked into the great forest without permission. She feels most at home on a horse, swimming, or with a rifle or bow in her hand.
Due to her home life, she is mostly shy and withdrawn, afraid that her scars...both physical and mental will be seen. She is afraid to make friends as she is ashamed of her father's abuse. However, she is strong willed, and has the potential to break out of her shell in a big way. She has accepted her abuse, but will do whatever it takes to prevent it from being inflicted on her other siblings. Deep in her heart, she knows that one day, she may have to kill her father, or die trying.
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE
Chelsea Hicks was about to take the biggest risk of her young life, even bigger than standing up to her abuser father. What she had in mind for tonight could potentially change not only her future, but the futures of at least two other students.
She currently stood in the school owlery, fighting to ignore the stench and owl droppings at her feet. She had chosen this location for the meeting because it was about as inconspicuous as it came...looking back, the Room of Requirement might have been a better choice, and future meetings may take place there, but for now, this would serve her purpose.
She had gotten word to both Jewel and Alaya earlier that day asking them to meet her here after dinner. Since they were in the same house, it wasn't that hard. She had been worried that they would question her, but somehow, she felt as though both girls knew what she was planning.
She had heard the rumblings and the rumors, she knew that something bad was going to happen, and soon, and the worst she had heard was that the Headmaster's own son was behind this new evil. If that was the case, something needed to be done at the student level because, and she hoped she was wrong, Chelsea was not all that certain that Harry Potter would fight against his own son.
Well, she thought steeling herself to the task, someone would.
