Gideon has always carried these characteristics. he has always been the one everyone turned to when they needed a friend the most. at times, he would feel under-appreciated, but that has never stopped him from being a great friend. He has also been known to put himself in dangerous situations without showing large amounts of fear. Being so courageous has given him a few descriptive adjectives; courageous, loyal, daredevil, caring, compassionate... this, however, has never really gotten to his head. He has always been grounded.[break][break]

Gideon is a ladies man, plain and simple. There has never been a moment that Gideon remembers that he hasn't been with a woman. He is the type of person to walk up to a random girl and ask her to dinner, and charm his way through the evening. His mysterious looks and smoldering green eyes are enough to bring almost any woman to their knees. He has a persuasive manner and can almost never take no for an answer. The way he speaks to women makes some of them weak to their knees, others, it would make them want to hurt him. He has always taken control, even when it seemed lost.[break][break]

bookworm and romantic[break]
Not many people get to experience the real Gideon. He likes to hide himself in his charm and sly, pretty boy smile. When you really get to know Gideon, he becomes a whole new person. He really enjoys reading. Most of the times, Gideon would rather curl up by the fire and enjoy a good read than go out and pull some stupid prank on some patrons at the bar. Reading has always been dear to him. Another thing that most people don't know about Gideon is that he is a hopeless romantic. He enjoys fancy, candlelit dinners, long walks on the beach. not only does he like to get pampered and he likes to pamper his women as well. He would chase the stars and catch the moon for "the one".[break]

HISTORY

There never was much to say about Gideon's parents. They were there to make sure that he stayed out of trouble, but never bothered him outside of that. You could say that the young man had a wonderful childhood, filled with love, a beautiful home and parents that loved each other dearly. That is what it looked like to the outside world. Gideon's parents were happy for the most part. They enjoyed each other's company but seemed a bit irritated with the fact that they had a child. Gideon was always well behaved and was never in anyone's way, but to his parents he was a nuisance. His father would always be at work and his mother would always find an excuse to be out of the home until her husband had returned from his place of employment. This left Gideon with a nanny or a babysitter for the most part. When Gideon was accepted into Hogwarts, his parents celebrated like no other. They seemed pleased that their only son was going to be a wizard, in reality, they were excited to get rid of him for most of the year. Gideon would only receive one letter a year, letting him know that when he was to return for the summer months, they would be gone on a wonderful trip in the southern islands. This was nothing new to him, of course. He took that opportunity to stay outdoors to study and be one with the stars. [break][break]

Unfortunately, during his fourth year at Hogwarts, he had received his second letter of the year. It was quite strange for him, but as he read it he understood why. His mother had fallen gravely ill and was told that she would not make it to the summer months. Gideon had never known his mother enough to feel any type of hurt. He did want to show his father that he cared, so he was excused for the remainder of the school year to stay by his mother's side. At Christmas time, Gideon's mother had finally passed. His father excused himself from the hospital room and was never seen again. To this day, Gideon knows not where his father has gone or if he is still alive.[break][break]

Hogwarts was Gideon's home. He was never welcomed at his own, so he took refuge within the castle walls. During his first two years, the young boy thought it was all fun and games. Being part of the Quidditch team, pranking his class mate. There was something to be said of the friends he made there. They were inseparable, almost like brothers and sisters. Seeing as he was an only child, Gideon connected quickly to the youth that paraded around the grounds. Older or younger, Gideon got along with everyone. He was a force to be reckoned with. As he got a little older, his studies became more and more a priority in his life. His friends came and went, leaving him to the solitude of spells and books. It wasn't until his fifth year that Gideon really started to get into Charms, Divination and Ancient Runes. The year that his mother had passed was a traumatic one for Gideon. He became a hermit, to say the least. He wanted nothing to do with anyone or anything but the stars he fell in love with three years prior until he ran into the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Her name was Asterix Harrow. She was a year older than he was and soon became his everything. He forgot about school and the importance of it. He showed and shared his passion for the creation and the practicality of charms with her. They were sweethearts, until the year that she was to graduate. She was thinking of becoming an Auror, going to the Ministry for her training. Gideon loved that about her. She was determined. [break][break]

Her dreams as well as his were put on the back burner. She became pregnant a year after she had graduated. Being a father in his seventh year was not part of his plan, but he wanted to be the best father that he could be to the boy or girl Asterix was to give him.[break][break]

Gideon had always loved the stars, had always had an affinity for such things. When Gideon was about to graduate from Hogwarts, he was asked the dreadful question every seventeen year old is asked. "What will you be doing after school?" In all honesty, Gideon wanted to become the Astronomy Professor in his second home. He had always loved the subject and found himself quite good at it. He wasn't the best, but he certainly was the most passionate, he found. A few years after graduating, Gideon decided that he wanted to own his own business. He decided that he would study Charms as well as Business.[break][break]

Unfortunately, when Gideon had finally made up his mind in what he wanted to do, the position was wide was closed. Astronomy was always his calling, and he had a knack for it, however, business was what he was going to be doing. His intelligence and passion for school in general helped him pull through the course load and before long, the young man graduated from the internship and was ready to begin his long journey toward owning the one business he had always dreamed of running, The Hog's Head.[break][break]

By the age of twenty-five, Gideon was in full swing at The Hog's Head. The owner's health began deteriorating when he had offered Gideon the position of owner. Gideon was extremely eager and took no time into thinking about it. Gideon has now been The Hog's Head owner for nine years now and has been successful in doing so.[break][break]

Unfortunately, Asterix didn't want Gideon to be around her son and decided that it would be best that he no longer had custody and signed the child's rights to her own parents. This devastated Gideon, creating an intense emotional block between himself and other women. He does get to see his son every once in a while throughout the halls of Hogwarts when he visits, but having his son not know who he is kills him every time. There will always be a part of him that longs for his son and watching him grow up from the outside does not suit his fancy.
